About Us

Bay Area Medical Explorers is a nonprofit organization founded to help empower youth in pursuing medicine. Our goal is to give ambitious students the opportunity to learn about the medical field and discover whether or not that is the career they would like to pursue.

Through guest speaker events, hands-on workshops, mentorship programs, and community outreach, members gain valuable insights into various healthcare careers.

Why We Started

As a student who cares deeply about healthcare, our founder Kavya realized how hard it was to find real opportunities to explore the medical field at a younger age. She wanted to change that not just for herself but for anyone who is curious or unsure about what they want to do in the future.

She started this nonprofit to help students connect, ask questions, and try new things that might spark a passion for medicine. It is not about having everything figured out. It is about learning, growing, and supporting each other along the way.

What began as a small idea between a few students has turned into something bigger: a way to help the next generation of future medical professionals get started early. And we are just getting started.
