Kavya is a social impact leader who started Bay Area Medical Explorers to help students learn about careers in healthcare. She cares a lot about giving youth chances to grow, learn new skills, and give back to their communities. Kavya leads the programs and works with team leaders to make sure students have great experiences.

Chief of Operations

Lahari is the Chief of Operations of Bay Area Medical Explorers. As the COO, they oversee, organize, and help coordinate teams, reiterating the values that BAME aspires to uplift within the community. With patience and optimism, Lahari assures that team leaders, members, and students obtain the goals that they wish to accomplish through BAME.

Activities Director

Disha is the Activities Director for Bay Area Medical Explorers. In her role, she designs, plans, and coordinates interactive events and educational initiatives to keep members engaged and inspired. Outside of her leadership work, she enjoys drinking chai.

Social Media Director

Vivienne is the Social Media Director for Bay Area Medical Explorers and a junior at Homestead High School. Driven by a strong interest in nutrition, psychology, and public health, she heads the organization’s digital strategy by creating engaging educational content and expanding community outreach across platforms.

Lathika Satishkumar

Research Team Head

Lathika serves as the Research Team Head for Bay Area Medical Explorers, where she guides members through scientific literature, structures investigative projects, and fosters a collaborative environment for medical inquiry. Demonstrating a deep commitment to the field, she is also independently publishing a pediatric treatment research paper outside of her work with BAME.
